2025 Power Rankings Week 2
2025 Power Rankings Week 2. It's time to list the top ten teams of the week, along with some of the best individual performances, and this week was an exciting one.
10. Bengals

Despite fighting god and the Browns and Jaguars, the Bengals have somehow ended undefeated. The Bengals said they wanted to start the season better, so they didn't end up in the position they were in last year. The defense is playing better, and the Bengals are winning, but the postseason is just as in question as it always is. The offense, which was the cornerstone of this team, struggled in game one, and now Joe Burrow is injured, maybe for the rest of the season. The Bengals are riding high now, but this ride might be heading off a cliff.
9. 49ers

The 49ers are undefeated despite taking a beating. They have already lost their QB for 5 weeks and George Kittle. Luckily, the 49ers have a starting-caliber QB with Mac Jones and great coaching. The 49ers should be able to survive til they get their guys back, and they are in great shape so far.
8. Cardinals

The Cardinals are undefeated, which is why they make the mid-range of this list. Unlike the teams ranked lower than them, they are healthy, and I can see their success continuing. Unlike the other undefeated teams ranked above them, they don't have good wins. They made the Saints look good, and they should be among the bottom five in the league. Also, they almost choked away a twenty-point lead on the Panthers. I can't help but worry about what will happen when the Cardinals play better teams.
7. Colts

The Colts look to be for real. They had a real test this week against the Broncos' defense, and the Colts still looked just as good. Now they beat the Broncos in a fluky fashion, thanks to a penalty that gift-wrapped the win for them after they missed the game-winning field goal. However, there is no doubt that this is the best Colts team since at least 2020.
6. The Bucs

The Bucs are wanna of the most exciting teams in the league. Two weeks in a row now, the Bucs have taken on tough young teams and in hotly contested games and come out on top. The Bucs seem to love shootouts; they thrive in those got to have it moments, and those are the type of teams that have postseason success.
5. Rams

The Rams just don't go away. They remain undefeated, and they looked good in another dogfight with an AFC South team. The Rams have it all. Brilliant coaching, big-time playmakers, veteran experience, and toughness. This team is used to adversity, made to go the distance.
4. Chargers

The Chargers continue to look good. They beat the Raiders easily. The Chargers are the only 2-0 team in the AFC West, and they own tiebreakers against the Chiefs and Raiders. There's a world where the Chargers outwin the Chiefs and the Chiefs can't catch up. For the first time in forever, the Chargers are in control of the AFC West. Maybe this is the year for the Chargers.
3. Bills

After an instant classic last week against the Ravens, the Bills had a relatively uneventful win over the Jets. They just watched the Jets beat themselves and took advantage. The Bills got a dominant win over their closest competition in the division, and they look to have the AFC East Title in their future.
2. Eagles

The Eagles remain undefeated, and they looked better this week. Beating the Chiefs definitely shows they are one of the best in the league. But they are still ramping up and will get even better over the season. Also, normally beating the Chiefs would get you to number one on the list, but the Chiefs are 0-2 this year, so it's a little different this year. The Eagles have not been as dominant as the number one team.
1. Packers

The Packers look like the most dominant team in the league. Last week, I had them ranked 3rd because I wasn't sure how good the Lions were. However, now that they have dominated both the Commanders and the Lions, it's clear that the Packers are just that good. They're going into week three without having to break a sweat. Parsons said defense wins championships, and the Packers' defense gave Jayden Daniels his worst-looking loss yet. This Packers team looks to be a serious Super Bowl contender if everyone stays healthy.
MVP of the Week
Lamar Jackson

Lamar has actually been amazing since the season started, and he sliced through the same Browns defense that held the Bengals offense down. Lamar had four TDs, 225 yards passing, and 128 QB rtg, as well as 71 rushing yards and one rushing TD.
Play of the Week
You're a Wizard Ward

Nothing to see here, just the rookie number one overall pick juking out the entire Rams dline, running right, manipulating the secondary, and throwing across his body twenty years for a touchdown. Everything that happened in this play should have led to disaster, and one variable turned it into success. Cam Ward.
Narrative Changer
Daniel Jones

Last week, Daniel Jones was perfect against the Dolphins. However, I was unsure whether that was more about Daniel Jones being good or the Dolphins sucking. The Dolphins are still bad, but Daniel Jones looked just as good facing the elite Denver defense. How bad is the New York Giants organization?
Game of the Week
Giants vs. Cowboys

This game was insane. Russel Wilson and Dak Prescott are throwing haymakers. Every time it seemed like the game was over, another highlight play would extend it. The Giants score on a bomb from Russ towards the end of the game, and it should be over, and Russ should be celebrating a signature win. But then Dak gets his guys in field goal position and Aubrey nails a 60-yarder to take the game to OT. Eventually, Wilson threw a pick, and Dak took advantage and won. The Cowboys are looking better than expected, and the Giants have a higher ceiling now.
